I was telling Van today that God helped him get well and that is why his tummy doesn’t hurt anymore. He said “well, where is he”? Isn’t it funny how we need to see proof of something in order to love it? I told him GOD is larger than life and he helps us through every day. I thought I would share that because it was a cute moment in our house.

Van also asked me to bring Christmas today so that he could get lightning McQueen! He let me know tonight in the tubby that he does not want to sit on Santa’s knee, that he would like to stand in front of him and see him when he tells him that he desperately needs the cars movie with Lighting McQueen!

I love this little boy more than I ever thought I could love something. He brings so much joy to my days and his laughter fills our house and spills outside.

We had a fun Thanksgiving in PA and PHILLY. It was fun to see everyone. We went to the Zoo in Philly and did the Ben Franklyn museum, and of course we ate a philly cheese steak! (Gross)

I love you so my little sunshine. We have had a hard couple of weeks being sick and patience was not on our side. I read the saddest story today that brought me to tears, I realized how precious life is again, and that each day is truly a gift from God. I am focusing on the more important things in life and trying to make some changes for the better. Take each day in stride and enjoy the moments with the ones you love. Enjoy every minute as it were your last. God Bless.

Words can’t express what these past two years have been like with you in our lives. Happy Birthday sunshine. You are learning so much, and growing so fast. I see you loving your family and growing relationships outside of your home. Your smile is my happiness, and your light shines so bright. Keep loving each day, but don’t forget the storms they will come. That’s when your true strength will show. You snuggle up next to me at night and ask me to rock you and read your favorite stories. I try to hold you like I did a year ago… but you have grown. I knew this time would come, just didn’t know it would come so soon. You have taught me so much since they day you arrived.

Thank you for all of the lessons and blessings you have brought to us.

1. I am deathly afraid of Rats, the mere mention or sight of them makes me break out in a full sweat, throw in a little gagging and I am a train wreck!

2. I got my nose pierced once, but took it out a few weeks later because when I was in the water it felt weird.

3. I met my husband in a bar where I was a cocktail waitress, and I wore a tie. Almost 10 years later here we are married for 5 years, with a darling 2 year old son.

4. I learned how to swing chains that were lit on fire, in college and I entertained people this way.

6. I traveled to Japan for 3 days once to design a cell phone.

7. I like to eat ice cream in the shower…

8. I love to be around people who make me laugh.

9. Every Night we sing “Duck Man” a song we made up, after Van gets out of the bath and watch as he dances with a towel on his head with our dog Lola.

10. I got engaged twice – to the same person! (and I love him so).
