Christmas can (still) change the world…

Christmas Inspiration

Love these trees… Kind of wishing I had a little table top tree like these. I got some great ideas for decorating and being all bubbly this Holiday in my home…

img_00761I was telling Van today that God helped him get well and that is why his tummy doesn’t hurt anymore. He said “well, where is he”? Isn’t it funny how we need to see proof of something in order to love it? I told him GOD is larger than life and he helps us through every day. I thought I would share that because it was a cute moment in our house.

Van also asked me to bring Christmas today so that he could get lightning McQueen! He let me know tonight in the tubby that he does not want to sit on Santa’s knee, that he would like to stand in front of him and see him when he tells him that he desperately needs the cars movie with Lighting McQueen!

I love this little boy more than I ever thought I could love something. He brings so much joy to my days and his laughter fills our house and spills outside.

We had a fun Thanksgiving in PA and PHILLY. It was fun to see everyone. We went to the Zoo in Philly and did the Ben Franklyn museum, and of course we ate a philly cheese steak! (Gross)

good night and I wish you a good day!

So Thankful….

So thankful for our big family and our fun trip to Pensylvania for Thanksgiving. Thank you Mimi and Papa Mike.
We love u all.

xoxoxo Happy Holidays.

Veterans Day

Just wanted to take a minute out of my day to honor Veterans day. These men and women who have the courage to serve our country I salute you today more than ever.  We take a lot for granted. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and a Soldier. One died for you soul; the other for your freedom.. To my family members who serve or have served our country – Will, Mike, Papa Mike, Jay Hall and Uncle Harold. And everyone else who defends our Flag. Thank you for your service and honor. From the depths of our hearts we thank you…

A Photo Scrapbook

I love Ben Watts work! I wish I had gotten a chance to work with him in the past but I still admire his eye… Check out his new book. Lickshot. I know a little place where you can buy a copy signed by Ben also.

love & marriage…

This came in my inbox this morning and I wanted to share…

Deepak Chopra replies:

Relationship Is a Daily Rescue

Although the differences between men and women have been much emphasized, there’s one thing that both sexes must do in a relationship: rescue love. Relationships are happy where love is nurtured. They begin to fray around the edges when love is compromised, and they end when love is gone.

What causes love to go away?

Many answers have been offered — boredom, routine, various distractions, outside obligations, fixation on work, wandering libido, lack of trust. But instead of dealing with such a long list item by item, there might be a simpler way. If you can rescue love every day, bringing yourself back to the place where love is, all the other problems don’t have a chance to grow.

To rescue love, you first must understand what it is. Love includes affection but is more than affection. It associates itself with sexual desire, kindness, compassion, altruism, and mutual regard. With those things in mind, many couples turn love into loving acts and loving feelings. But such efforts are the effect of love, not love itself. You cannot turn an effect into a cause. For example, if you find out that your partner has cheated, you have a reason not to love him or her. Trying to be nice instead of nasty won’t revive your love.
