What a whirlwind of events that has taken place in our lives lately. We found out today that we are living in an unsafe home. The landlady needs to remove all moldy anything before I will bring Van back into that house. We took a road trip to South Carolina to see my college buddies and get out of town for the weekend. When we returned it was my birthday and I had a nice relaxing one! My mom watched Van and she gave me the best massage while we watched tennis and relaxed. Then she watched Van at night and Conner and I got to go have sushi with the family! I got some awesome gifts including a gift card to nordstrom and my favorite signature perfume Angel. Conner gave me some running shoes so I can run away from here! Run forest run! I have felt pretty defeated lately – just to be honest. I want to write that everything is awesome and we are all smiles, but since we have arrived it has been a rocky road. Everything has been a challenge. Van is sick again I think he got a cold on our trip but this time he can’t keep food down and is running fevers. I feel like a hamster running in my ball and I can’t get anything accomplished….. This to shall pass – Conner reminded me tonight as he drove away after dinner to the house we are supposed to be living in as a family. Van is needing MOM even more these days as he is not sure where home is and he is feeling ill. We love this boy more than anything in this world and just want a safe place for him to call home. Where he can play with his trucks and doggies…

Here are a few photos of the milestones from the past few weeks. He is about to turn one and a half and I enjoy every second with him, even when I am getting thrown up on four times in a row.
My sister sent me this poem that she found and I love it..

My Baby Boy and Me:

It’s three AM, they’re all asleep, and no-one’s here to see.
As we rock slowly back and forth, My baby boy and me.
His little hand is feather light Tucked up against my chin.
I hold his tiny hand in mine, and stroke his baby skin.

So Much To Be Thankful For….

This weekend was so hot out here, the water felt so nice to dive into and refresh your soul. The surf was good, we had a fun dinner on my bday and the beach party was such a good time.

We like Boats!

We went out on Julie, Dave & Ezra’s boat this weekend. It was so much fun and really relaxing. Ezra is Van’s buddy and he is 2 1/2 months old. Van loved the boat and also went to sleep for a brief time until his car seat was flooded with water that came overboard.

We were pulling the guys behind the boat and it was a little choppy out on the water. he was a good sport and just woke up a little wet and wanted to eat!
Oh and here is a cute video of Van playing drums with our friend Mike on the boat, he was so happy out there!

We had a mellow day today really sleepy, it actually rained this morning and I don’t know why but I was so tried all day long.
Tonight Conner cooked the best dinner, and I actually ate red meat for the first time in years. well besides a hamburger here and there. we had fillet Mignon in a balsamic red wine reduction, mashed potatoes & sauteed green beans. For dessert we made coco chocolate cupcakes.

Conner and Van hung out today for a while and had fun together, I took some cute pictures of them on the couch, with Van’s mermaid doll.

I just started building my design web site, I will let you know when it is up. check it out from time to time for updates!

Next weekend we are having a beach party with our friends to celebrate my 32nd Bday! I feel differently about this birthday coming up, I have a son on this birthday for the first time ever, I have a happiness inside I never knew I would have. Know body tells you what it is going to feel like when you have a child of your own, and it is really an experience you can’t even fathom. I am excited to see some good friends that I haven’t seen in a while! It should be fun.

This week coming up is going to be a busy one, lunch with friends, drs appts for Van and I, the dogs are getting shaved, and looking for my next freelance projects are on the calendar.
