Neck Tie Onesies

Here is Van in one of my neck tie onesies. I did a little photo shoot with him the other day, I am arranging a little shoot with some of my pieces. I just opened a shop on etsy.com
So I will let you know once I have images and my store is open for business. I will have a link directly to my shop on this blog! So you can shop to your hearts content.
I am having fun with the kids clothes. I just really want to break into the silk screening process and am about to buy some silk screening supplies so I can start doing kiddies tees too.

Tonight I had such a peaceful moment with Van as he was falling asleep in my arms, I felt his breath through his body, and as we were cuddling in the rocking chair he was reaching up to touch my neck and rub my arm. He is so gently and loving when he is falling asleep. He takes care of me in so many ways, his love feeds my soul and completes me in areas ,I never knew could be filled with so much love. It’s funny when you think of having babies, the last thing you think of is that they will make you grow up. I have grown in so many ways since this child was put into my arms and I am so thankful for that little breath in his body everyday.

Van had his first successful Halloween, he was a frog in the morning for his little halloween party , and later that evening he had a wardropbe change and he turned into a shark! We went to dinner in his costume and hit a couple houses for candy in our neighborhood!

He had fun with his buddies at our stroller srtides party! I never knew that frogs attacked bees did you? ha
More pics later of Van’s trip to Vegas!

Mod Tot’s

So Van’s Mimi is in town and she has been a huge help to my new little side business!
We went shopping for fabrics and many other fun things and we have been sewing all week long, well she has been doing it… I have been doing a few too, but mainly art directing. That’s what I do. I am going to be screen printing on them now that we have sewn several appliques on them too! I already have several orders i am so excited.
For all those asking about prices. They all vary and you can get one onesie with just screen printed letters or numbers/graphics for $15 – 20. The onesies with sewn and printed graphics are Around $25 each!

So it has been fun creating this new little line of clothes.

Van is already 7.5 months old, and I haven’t gotten around to putting a picture up of him yet!
So here he is when we were at dinner the other night!

I found some great little eco friendly graphics to screen onto my baby clothes. I have been looking fort the right one’s lately… I have an idea for one with a world screen printed on one with love your mom on it around the world! just an idea!

Okay so I have two ideas for the name of the company – mod tots, or butter beans! let me know what you like!!!

Baby Onesies

So I designed my first onesies, this is one of them. I told Van to look surprised… I think he takes direction pretty well. huh? Here is Van modeling my 123 king of the hill onesie!

I plan on hanging them all along the crib or outside on a clothes line and taking a photo of them once I am ready to do a photoshoot.

This was just for fun! I took the photo of this one after Van was wearing it, so it is a little wrinkled.

I will have several made in time for the beginning of Dec so I can sell them to people for gifts for the holidays! Let me know if you want one, the quantities will be limited, and each one is hand done. So they all look different. I am working on purchasing organic cotton onesies to design on with water and vegetable based inks so they will be 100% healthy for the little tots.

I wanted to list a couple of all natural companies/websites that I really like a lot, along with some books & Cd’s I really want to get for Van.

Moving Forward

I am working this week on a couple of projects, so my time is precious. I really feel stuck right now. I need to work so we can stay in California. But I want to stay at home with Van part time too. I am plotting and scheming about ways I can start my own business and work at home. I know I can do it. I just have too many ideas in this head of mine and want to design baby clothes, build websites, and create my own graphic design & freelance company.

Van is loving the dogs now he tries to call them with this little high pitch voice of his, and he likes to spit too when he sees them. I think he thinks that they like that but they tend to run away real fast when they see him coming these dayz. I captured some moments yesterday with them. Zeke was there too, but he wasn’t in camera’s range.
