Dear Kitchen:

it would be nice if every once in a while you just cleaned your self up! You bother me every day! Help me out here…

Dear Sleep:

I miss you, I don’t like listening to my husband snore so if you could come for a visit that would be lovely!

Dear Conner:

I wish we could go running every morning together and start our days off right, but it’s too damm hot here.

Dear Key Lime Ice cream:

I really wish I could stop thinking about you. You taste so darn good at midnight.

Dear Mosquitos:

I am so over you it makes me want to get outta dodge.

Dear Ungrateful people out there:

If you actually thanked people every now and then for what they do for you, you might be surprised at what life will hand you!

Dear Vacation:

Could you get here any sooner, I am counting down the minutes…

Dear Conner:

I wish we had more time together, you would think sine you work at home as do I that we would really get some quality time together. :0

Ear Candy

dreyerfamily

The Dreyer Family Band sent us their CD this week, “Family Photograph!” It consists of 17 songs written by real parents performed by a real family in real analog, with styles ranging from Appalachian mountain music to funky urban grooves to playground pattycake songs. It was pleasantly surprising when we put it on and we all started groovin to the tunes. The music filled the air with warm and mellow notes, the beats kept Van moving and shaking! It’s a perfect cd for kids of all ages and adults too! You can hear some of their songs on their website here or you can listen to the whole cd here. What’s this music all about? Our family experiences! This is homegrown in the extreme. Recorded in 11 days over 2 family vacations, this music was made for us and is just too good not to share. Our favorite tracks are family photograph, and Glitter… Hope you get a chance to sample the cd too, it’s a great addition to the cd collection…. Have a great week.

My Sun

I love you so my little sunshine. We have had a hard couple of weeks being sick and patience was not on our side.  I read the saddest story today that brought me to tears, I realized how precious life is again, and that each day is truly a gift from God. I am focusing on the more important things in life and trying to make some changes for the better. Take each day in stride and enjoy the moments with the ones you love. Enjoy every minute as it were your last. God Bless.

Here is a little collection of amazing photos I have found along the way. I am thinking of doing a little photo collage in Van’s room with these. They inspire creativity!
