listen

Lyrics | Coldplay lyricsViva La Vida lyrics

I love this song and all of it’s spiritual imagery. Power and foolishness, mixed with the loss of power and gaining wisdom of your situation. It’s such a great taste of reality as we all want to fulfill our needs and greatest desires. It’s so easy to fall for the wicked tricks of the world. In the end if we choose the honest path, it will provide for us and our castle will be built on rock.

That’s Random….

1. I am deathly afraid of Rats, the mere mention or sight of them makes me break out in a full sweat, throw in a little gagging and I am a train wreck!

2. I got my nose pierced once, but took it out a few weeks later because when I was in the water it felt weird.

3. I met my husband in a bar where I was a cocktail waitress, and I wore a tie. Almost 10 years later here we are married for 5 years, with a darling 2 year old son.

4. I learned how to swing chains that were lit on fire, in college and I entertained people this way.

6. I traveled to Japan for 3 days once to design a cell phone.

7. I like to eat ice cream in the shower…

8. I love to be around people who make me laugh.

9. Every Night we sing “Duck Man” a song we made up,  after Van gets out of the bath and watch as he dances with a towel on his head with our dog Lola.

10. I got engaged twice – to the same person! :) (and I love him so).

nite nite….

Friday’s inspiration

I have been eyeing these great planters and the modern clean lines of these plants. Once I find the time I am out to find some horsetail and some cool planters like the ones above… Design carries over into all mediums. Don’t forget that and have a wonderful weekend.

Tomato Basil soup

I am always craving this tomato basil soup, so instead of buying it. I scooped up all of the ingredients at the store to make it in my own kitchen…..
Van loves to eat soup so this would be a great thing to make for the kids too you can throw some pieces of bread in there and use organic canned tomatoes….
NOTE: I tried this recipe and I actually think you can use less flour than it calls for. I would use
half a cup instead of one cup.
Here is one more recipe that you could try – the heavy whipping cream might work better.
